In 2003 Sign of the Dove opened a year-round store in the Porter Square Shopping Center. Because of the smaller space, this year-round store is a compact version of our holiday store, with 22 of our holiday store members. We offer a broad and exciting range of locally handcrafted work for you to choose from. You now have the opportunity to buy from local artists for occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries and year-round treats for yourself! Remember, both of our stores are run entirely by us. So if you have questions about how something is made or custom ordering, or if you have any suggestions, please let us know. Come visit! |

The Sign of the Dove (formerly The Christmas Store) was
started in 1971, the oldest artist cooperative in New England. Begun by
a small group of artists, including Clara Wainwright, it has always
been a cooperative and has usually been located in Porter Square in
Cambridge. The average number of members each year is 40 to 50. publicity@signofthedoveco-op.com. Many members have examples of their work on this site. If you need high-resolution images or want help contacting an individual, e-mail Susan Tornheim at the above address. |
