I was born and raised in Japan. After my graduation from school in Kyoto, I worked at a laboratory which made chemicals for the textile industry there.

KyotoÕs ancient temples and gardens nurtured my sense of beauty. I was fascinated by the gorgeous patterns of Kimono. In my work with silk, my heritage has a great influence, especially in color combinations and pattern designs.

Description of work

I produce scarves, camisoles, vests, tunics, and pants. They are hand-dyed with shibori or salt and resist techniques and hand sewn.
