I majored in Graphics at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and have a MFA from Tufts. As a child I was influenced by the outstanding Asian Art collections at the Cleveland MFA to which I walked every Sunday from my Gramma's house. Asian art has a reverence for the natural world and its form is defined by contour. But color is my true love and color is the distinctive quality of my work. I have worked in clay making tile murals and have worked as a painter, but a lifelong love of fabric has brought me to my current milieu.

I have been collecting fabric for over 30 years and have made dozens of appliquéd blankets for the children in my family. I love rummaging through my tubs of fabric hunting for the perfect color and pattern combinations. My scarves are painted with textile paints, markers and crayons for fabric.
